Quick blog

For all my sibling who now think it's cool to have "private blogs"... I don't like it... B/c when i try to "stay connected" with my family I get this message....

"It doesn't look like you have been invited to read this blog. If you think this is a mistake, you might want to contact the blog author and request an invitation."

Which means in my language... "It doesn't look like anyone likes you enough to invite you to be a part of their lives. If you think this is a mistake, You are wrong.. this was done on purpose. If you want to contact the blog author, good luck, because they don't give a crap about your request to have an invitation."

Merry Christmas-

Lauren

I am Alive!

I wanted to start this post by dedicating these pictures to Josh T. King. Who accused me of looking at inappropriate new moon trailers at his house. hahahaha Jacob and Edward are hott! So this post will be up for another 6 months!

Don't be mad Josh.. Nickie thinks your hotter.

These are the Girls that I work with at the Store. :) Black Friday. P.S. we made Julie wear the crown and snowy scarf.

It was Freezing. But this was Thanksgiving day. I wore my AFI shirt. I was number 403 There were over 7,000 people running in the Drumstick Dash. This is the Rescue Mission behind me. I've served food to the homeless there a few times.

Hello- I am alive. I've been the biggest bum when it comes to updating my blog. Like I've always said... what do I have to blog about? I'm not that interesting. But I will at least update a tiny bit of life from the past 4 or so months. I turned 21 in October.. that's pretty cool. I woke up and went straight to the ABC store .. so that was pretty cool. I drove Dads rental car too.I honestly had the best birthday i've ever had in a LONG time. Daddy took me to see AFI- One of my favorite bands. I've wanted to see them for a LONG time. They were amazing Live. I got their brand new album about a month before the concert and so i rocked out at the concert. Dad looked a little scared during the mosh pit. hahahahah I love him. The opener for AFI were some weirdo europeans with ALOT of feelings. But it was worth it! i got a shirt with the tour dates on the back. It had 10/19 on the back. My BIRTHDAY! We also stood outside for 3 hours in the freezing while we waited for the band to come out. I got my shirt signed by all the members of the band. Dad even got his ticket signed by Davey the main singer. Ha Davey was surprised to see Dad as a Fan. Thanks Dad again for sacraficing a nights sleep so that you could get punched and pushed, while sweating. :) Novemeber brought another Birthday(s) Jinny and Gnickie. They are SO old. So I decided to not post their ages. I didn't buy anybody any presents. I'm sorry. Tuition went up at BYU-Idaho. It went up from $1.00 to now $2.00. So.. I'm a little screwed. Um... I did at least write a song for Gnickie for her birthday. I called her and sang it to her.. here it is-

Yo My Girl Nickie...

This is your Birthday Rap.
If you don't like it....
Well tough Crap.

Yo my girl Nickie
It's your Big Day

I didn't get you a Gift

So i'm sorry, that's gay

At least you got Panda and my Crab AK

Remember that time- we grew up on the Mobile Bay.

All day long, Your the Motha Freakin Queen

You've got the hottest Bo-dy that I have ever Seen.

So enjoy your birthday, Your only 27
Wow, Having a sister like me must be like Heaven.

My Visit to the Davis House for 4th of July

Looks like Rexburg!
We ate 3 cookies at the end.

The Flippin BLM

At dinner- Aren't they cute?

The best idea BYU-Idaho ever had was to give us a 4 day weekend for the 4th of July Holiday. I was extremely happy when I got to travel down to Salt Lake on Wed and hang out with Megan and Austin. They both had to work while I was visiting but I got to spend every night with them. Austin took me shooting- scary- and I got yelled at bc I was too weak to throw those clay "birds"... Austin was using his new camo shotgun. He yelled "PULL!".. I yelled... "I can't!" so Austin had to not only throw his own target, but quickly aim to fire. It was kinda funny, but Austin kinda wanted to kill me. We also had to search everywhere to find the Bureau of Land Management. It took us about and hour and then found out that we could have just printed something offline that would have worked just as good. Oh well. We did get some free Tattoos! We had fun though. Megan took me to do what I do best.. that's shopping. We did some damage in one store and then decided for our own safety we better stop there. I got to go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house on wed. It was so beautiful. It was different from the others that i've seen. But it was still unique and so gorgeous. (as usual). One of my favorite parts of the trip was that I got to listen to the Prophet speak in church and even Shook HIS HAND! He's so cute and I love him. We got to see lots of fireworks and Megan made some great dinners.. even Austin made Hamburgers! I had lots of fun and plan on heading back in a couple of weeks. Love You Austin and Megan!

The Big Day!-Not mine.

This past week was pretty exciting! Whitney Perdue from Roanoke got married June 26th in the Rexburg, Idaho Temple! The whole week leading up to the wedding on friday was pretty stressful. Tuesday morning at 4:45 am I got an emergency call from Whitney that she needed help getting on her dress. ( I was with her when she bought it.. I sorta picked it out) They were taking pictures up at the temple prior to their sealing on friday. Being up at the temple at 5 am seemed alittle crazy, but it was SO worth it. The sun rise was beautiful and the way it hit the temple- was well.. worth getting up for. You can see in one of the pictures below of a sample of a few pictures that were taken. I was just there helping to make sure she looked amazing and that her dress looked great. I hope to be able to post more of those photos as soon as I can get my hands on them. There were 6 bridesmaids and I was one of them. We all got our own flowers! Her colors were black, cream, and teal. It was a great night of Dancing, Toasts, Cake, and... did I say.. DANCING!

Megan on my computer.

The semester is winding down. Holy YES! Ha We have about 4 more weeks left of school. I'm so glad that my Sophmore year is coming to a close. I'm excited to go home and be with Mom and Dad in Virginia. They miss me! :) To pass the time here at BYU-Idaho, Megan came to visit me for a few days. It was so much fun and we got to drink lots of Reeds Chocolate Milk! We made Gnickie really mad when we web chatted and pulled it out and starting drinking. She told us that we no longer are allowed to see the girls. She calls me still and tells me that she has cravings.
These next few weeks will be crazy! One of my great friends Whitney P. is getting married Friday the 26th of June, My Best friend Megan Turnmire is coming home from China on the 2nd of July, and I'm coming home to run a 5K with her in August! Can't wait...

Bednar and My gimp foot

I decided one day that I was going to walk around all of Rexburg in my flip flops.. bad idea. I bruised my foot or something- but I couldn't walk without pain for over a week. Someone left Boca Burgers (meatless) in the freezer from a million semesters ago and so I tied it to my foot. It doubled as an ice pack.
My roomate Whitney saw it as a photo opportunity...

I had the most awesome opportunity to get to hear Elder Bednar speak at BYU-Idaho. We literally ran, bumped, hit, and clobber people so that we could get seats up front. WE DID! We sat about 5 or 6 rows away from Elder Bednar. I was dead center. The whole time I literally thought he was look -at me- but then realized that the prompter was directly above me- so actually he was just trying to read his notes. But oh well! It was Great to have an apostle at school and that's the main reason I decided to go to BYU-Idaho. Elder Bednar continues to be my favorite speaker.

This is me-my roomate Whitney (left) and Mary (right). My friend Rachel (in the purple) saved us seats bc she sang in the choir. :)

Me and my roomate Whitney. We tried to get a shot to show how close we were...
